American Airlines Center
February 25, 2008 - American Airlines Center is located in the Victory Park neighborhood near downtown Dallas. The team was playing in Reunion Arena up until 1998, when the Mavericks and the Stars were asking for an updated arena. American Airlines has headquarters in Dallas, and decided to acquire naming rights for the arena.
It opened in July of 2001 to the most extravagant ribbon cutting ceremony, according to Guinness Book of Records. The very next day, the arena was broken in with an Eagles concert, followed by the last show of Michael Flatley's Feet of Flames tour.
February 25, 2008 - You, too, can be a part of all the Mavericks history by attending the game. Since they are such a young team, they haven't gotten their chance at an NBA Championship, but they have achieved a Division title in 2007 and a Conference title in 2006.
